National Capital of Trekking

Located in a corner of Argentinian Patagonia, in the south of Santa Cruz Province and within Los Glaciares National Park,
El Chaltén is one of the most imposing refuges of pristine nature in the region.

Departing from El Chaltén, the natural trails offer a variety of walks for those who love trekking:
from easy walks to lagoons with panoramic views, to difficult treks to the most spectacular mounts in Patagonia,
such as the Fitz Roy and Torre Mounts, almost 3,500 metres above sea level.

Legendary snowed-covered peaks of the Southern Patagonian Icefield provide the scenery in this enchanting corner.
